Collectively we have lived through a consciousness shift. Very recently the world changed so dramatically that it is impossible to go back.
In March 2020 the world went into lock-down over an invisible virus. By December of that year, Jupiter and Saturn visibly met in the sky at 0° Aquarius, completing the initiation into the next 200 year Air era.
When we learn something new, we can’t return to ignorance. Illumination is profoundly altering. What was illuminated was different for us all depending on where we were geographically, socioeconomically, spiritually and in our own algorithms. Just as the Water Bearer representing Aquarius liberally pours from its urn, no one was spared. Literally everyone on the planet was impacted.
It’s now 2025 and we’re being told it’s back to business as usual. But is it really? As we round the bend into the first quarter square between Jupiter and Saturn, it marks a time of assessment, recollection and adjustment before we proceed toward the opposition in 2030. What we do now impacts us and our future ancestors.
I have been creating this audio series since the Summer Solstice, 2024 seeking to document this time via lived experience. The cycles of Jupiter and Saturn are so big it can be difficult to predict what will transpire. We’re also in completely new, uncharted territory. This series calls on participants and listeners to take stock from what has happened over the last 5 years and in so doing, we consciously create our future. By sharing our stories we can use ‘Air tools’ to heal the divide imposed by isolation, mental health challenges and global realities we may not yet understand.
I have interviewed 5 people asking them all the same 5 questions, seeking to find similarities and differences in experience. The questions pertain to both, personal experience and collective observances, as well as looking forward to the future. I have also interviewed some contemporary astrologers to see what they’re making of this great mutation.
5 participants
The 5 people you will hear interviewed throughout this series are:
Lala is a force for good in this world. She co-hosts SEEN the podcast, and co-founded Healing in Colour; an organisation that matches BIPOC clients with BIPOC therapists. So smart, and a brilliant resource!
Felix is an artist, florist and all round smart and interesting human living in Quebec, Canada. He shares his experience of awakening and going through his first Saturn Return during the pandemic. Honestly, I could talk with him until the very last sunset.
Liz Gunn is an intuitive astrologer and galactic traveller who lives in Nth Carolina, USA. You’ll hear her talk about the recent impacts of hurricane Helene as it forced her out of her home, and what it was like going through her second Saturn Return during the pandemic.
Alyce is an artist and academic who was working in Hong Kong when the pandemic landed. You’ll hear her talk about being a geriatric Millennial dealing with her Boomer parent who struggles with technology, and how she straddles the bridge between sound vibrations and spirituality.
Ren lights up every room she walks into! As a wedding celebrant she has a unique view on how AI and technology is impacting relationships and she shares her experience of crossing the ocean between Northern Ireland and Australia.
The Astrologers
Joy Usher is an Australian astrologer who has a way of explaining complex astrological topics in easy to understand manner. In this series she breaks down the Air element, temperaments, and her experience of bending and stretching time. Her books The Tiny Universe and its companion are never far from my desk.
Jessica Murray is an astrologer based in San Francisco, USA. You will hear her trace large astrological cycles back in history and relate it to how we landed here today. I recommend her book, Soul Sick Nation, and her website, Mother Sky, is a treasure trove of wisdom and wit.
Alex Trenoweth is an astrologer and teacher based in the UK. If you have kids, or work with kids, I highly recommend her book, Growing Pains. It details the deep research she has done via observation of her students and each generations Jupiter-Saturn signs. She has a lot to share on this topic in our interview together.
Sam Reynolds of Unlock Astrology is an American astrologer based in New Mexico. Each time I’ve met Sam we’ve had deep, interesting and gracious conversations. This one was no different. He details the inception of this Jupiter-Saturn cycle in 1980-81, and brings Max Headroom into the 21st century.
Rod Suskin is a South African astrologer and Sangoma, based in Cape Town. He takes us deep into the astrology of 2020, looking at the Saturn-Pluto cycle, and also high into his experiences with astral travel and stoicism.
In this Air era we are contending with unimaginable new technologies entering our daily lives which is resulting in less and less grasp on truth and reality. Simultaneously, we are waking up to our multi-dimensionality as our talents and gifts are being activated. As our relating patterns continue to shift with screens wedged between us, my hope is that this audio series will help connect us via our shared experience and encourage you to attune to the invisible aspects of your own life. If you enjoy this audio series, be like a Dandelion and share it around, not for me, but for all of us.
Thanks for listening,
~ Dru ✨
