Over the past week, the Sun has been edging closer and closer to Pluto in late degrees of Capricorn. This show down will culminate in the Sun ushering Pluto into Aquarius on January 20th, 2024, followed by a powerful Full Leo Moon on the 25th. Much like arriving late to the theatre and being shown to your seat in the darkness by someone with a flashlight, the Sun will lead the way through this dark night, illuminating the path so the show can go on.
In these late Capricorn stages, Pluto has been passing over the USA's Sibley Pluto placement, dredging up the neuroses and dysfunction within old systems of power that no longer have footing in the air era, and holding up the mirror to an established world power. One notable manifestation of this is the amount of focus put on Biden’s age from both sides of the isle. 50-100 years ago, this wouldn’t have been an issue as the pace of life was much slower and older men were expected to be in positions of power, no mater how deranged and decrepit. The end of this Capricorn passage is another leg of the patriarchal chair being sawed off. The old order is falling over itself in an attempt to stay relevant and upright.
Bye, babes. Sashay away! We’re having an air era.
The effect of Pluto shifting from Earth to Air, as well as the Jupiter-Saturn cycle transitioning along the same track, is an uncomfortable elemental transition of power. From old to young, from solid to intangible, from analog to digital, we’re all grappling with how that manifests and what the new world will be. Things that used to be reliable are no longer. Things that used to offer safety and security have no place in this new, changing world. Adaption and remaining open to change can only be of personal benefit through this time.
